Animal Experimental Biology and Predictive Modeling

Animal Experimental Biology and Predictive Modeling 2016

The objective of this training session was to present a wide range of experimental animal biology and predictive modeling research in carried forth on model or farm animals. This doctoral training session was part of the ABIES, SDSV and BioSigNE doctoral school programs.

  • The challenges associated with using animal biodiversity, selection or production of new genotypes in farm species, the study of environment-genome-phenotype interactions and ethics questions associated with animal experimentation.
  • Multi-scale data integration will lead to modeling and predictive biology.

During this training session, seminars were given by scientists and professors from the University Paris-Saclay. A round table discussion with professionals from different economic sectors associated with animals (biotechnologies, breeding and selection, health) were organized along with visits to INRAE Jouy-en-Josas core facilities.

A workshop was offered to participants, in order to image different way of communicating between scientists and society on the themes treated during the cours.
